For me, there is John Carpenter, and then everyone else. I m hard pressed to think of anyone that shaped my pop culture as much as Carpenter did when I was growing up. In a career littered with greats, The Thing, probably Carpenter s best movie, is still as potent for me now as it was when it terrified me as a kid. But for a poster?
